Review Guidelines

All reviews on wheelie-easy-hotels.com (Wheelie Easy Hotels) are the subjective opinions of travellers, forum users, or hotels and not of Wheelie Easy Hotels.

We do not endorse any of the opinions expressed in hotel management questionnaires, traveller reviews, or management responses, nor are we in any way affiliated with any establishment listed or reviewed on this site.

Wheelie Easy Hotels reserves the right to remove any submitted hotel access questionnaire, traveller review or management reponse for any reason.

Wheelie Easy Hotels will only publish a hotel review, management response  or hotel management questionnaire that is:


Individual - From a traveller's own point of view based on first hand experience of a hotel and / or the customer service related experience of that hotel.  We do not accept reviews that are written following incentives from a hotel or in exchange for any kind of preferential treatment.  We do not accept reviews based on hearsay information gained form another person or source.


Original - We will not accept any new material obtained from other sources, or published elsewhere  (including on other travel sites), unless it has also been submitted by that Wheelie Easy member. Reviewers may not quote material from other sources.
Wheelie Easy Hotels does itself refer to material published elsewhere but will always then include a link to the original site material.


Unique - We will only accept one review from any one person about any individual hotel. Reviewers may not include comments about other reviews, reviewers or management submissions.  Reviewers may not include questions for other reviewers or hotel management.  If a reviewer wishes to update a review then please contact us first so that we can remove your previous review from the site.  We will then contact you to inform you when it is possible to submit the new review.


Clean and child-friendly - Reviewers must not use any non-family-friendly content or language.  We have zero tolerance for threats, profanities, any type of prejudice, reports of criminal, or inappropriate drug or alcohol induced, behaviour or related activity.  We will not accept hate speech or reports or threats of violence.


Submitted for an appropriate accommodation - The property must meet our listing criteria.  Wheelie Easy Hotels does not currently list all types of accommodation, including, but not limited to private holiday rental accommodation.


Submitted by a Wheelie Easy Hotels member over the age of 12 -  If you are not yet a member, registration is quick and simple.  We need you to register in order to ensure the credibility and quality of the reviews submitted to our site.


Submitted using a valid email address - in the event that we need to contact you regarding your review.  Please respect this.


Relevant - Reviews should contain information that is of interest to other travellers, in particular disabled and mobility impaired travellers.  Reviews should not include content that is irrelevant to travellers.  Travel information from over five years ago will be out of date.  General political, religious, or moral comments are inappropriate, as are insults and smear campaigns.  Reviews containing no information of interest specifically to disabled and mobility impaired travellers may be more helpfully posted on general travel websites.


Non-promotional - Commercial contact information or e-mail addresses may not be included in reviews. We reserve the right to reject any e-mail address or URL for any reason.  Hotel management are most welcome to respond instead to our hotel questionnaire.


Written in standard type - Please do not use HTML tags, ALL CAPS, "text speak" or slang.  The majority of text and paragraph formatting, including lists, will be automatically removed by our systems.  We may edit reviews for spelling and grammar.

Privacy

Wheelie Easy Hotels will not give out anyone's contact information.  If a member wishes to contact another member, please contact Wheelie Easy Hotels giving your email address and we will contact the member for you. We will soon be setting up a private messging system for members' personal use.


Hotel Management Responses

If you represent the management of a property and wish to respond to a review, please currently contact us using a standard contact form. We will shortly be creating a specific 'Management Response Form' for this purpose. Management is allowed one only response to each review in the same way as each traveller is allowed to submit one only review of each property. We do not publish responses directed solely to the author of the review or to Wheelie Easy Hotels staff. Responses must be relevant and appropriate to all travellers. Management responses will be reviewed to ensure that they adhere to our guidelines (broadly identical to the guidelines for traveller reviews) before they are published (directly below the appropriate review). We do not accept responses containing speculation as to the identity of the reviewer, or containing any personal information that could be used to identify an individual, nor will we allow responses containing accusations directed at a reviewer.  Wheelie Easy Hotels may contact the property to verify that the author has authority to speak on behalf of the hotel.


New Listings

Travellers are encouraged to review hotels that are not yet listed on Wheelie Easy Hotels.  In this event, please include as much information as you can regarding the location and any other contact details, including official web site for the property.


Management Questionnaires

Wheelie Easy Hotels will not accept any 'traveller' reviews of properties that are submitted by hotel management describing their own establishment. Wheelie Easy Hotels, instead, encourages all hotel properties to expand their profile on our site by responding to our Hotel Access Questionnaire.  Please consult our Guide for Hotels to learn more about the benefits.  Alternatively, if you are not yet ready to complete our questionnaire, you are invited to simply respond, using our contact form, to our three basic questions, as shown on our hotel listings pages:

Does your property have:

  1. Level or ramped access to the principal entrance?
  2. A suitable elvator for a wheelchair user (or all ground level accommodation)?
  3. Rooms with walk-in showers available?
